Finally an Android device by Nokia - Nokia X !

11:49

Nokia's newly launched Nokia X runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Nokia will soon be releasing its other two android devices namely Nokia XL and Nokia X+ . Its launched today in India at a price of Rs.8,599. Is it really worth it ? Lets check out !

The Pros :-

Battery Life: Nokia is known for its higher battery life. So as usual, Nokia X comes with 10.5 hours of talktime on 3G and upto 22 days standby time whereas it gives 13.3 hours of talktime and upto 28.5 days standby time on 2G. If you compare this to Karbonn Titanium S5 Plus then Nokia X wins the race so easily because Titanium S5 Plus gives only about 4 hours of talktime. So if you don't care about the other features which these brands like Karbonn and Micromax offers and wants a solid smartphone a low budget then Nokia X is the best choice.

Brand Value: Well, Nokia is a famous and popular brand. They make solid devices. They give very good customer support. It might not have the highest spec camera as compared to Lava, Micromax etc... but it does have some other major features like long lasting battery life which those companies never comes with.

Android + Nokia: Finally Nokia runs on a Android OS. But a forked version of it. Which means it runs on Android but it doesn't gives you access to Google App Store and also doesn't comes with pre-installed Google apps. But they have their own Nokia Store.

The Cons :-

Low End Specs: Nokia X comes with low end specs at this price compared to other brands. It comes with Dual Core processor, 512 MB RAM, only 4 GB internal space. There are other devices at this price with Quad Core Processor and 1 GB RAM. So those who are used to faster and modern processors for the similar price won't be looking to buy this one.

Android + Somewhat Windows: Nokia X runs Android but doesn't gives you Google Apps like Gmail, Google Maps etc instead they give Outlook and Here Maps.

So, all in all, if you don't care about some snazzy features offered by other brands then Nokia X is a best shot at low budget. You probably may want to wait for the Nokia XL...
